Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 July 2026
Vocatim is built to process everything on your device. This policy explains what that means in practice.
Data we collect
None on our servers. Vocatim has no backend, no account and no analytics. We do not collect, transmit or sell your audio, transcripts or any personal data.
On-device processing
Recording, transcription, speaker recognition and summaries all run locally using models downloaded to the app. Your audio, transcripts, voice profiles and summaries are stored on your device.
iCloud sync
If you use Vocatim on both iPhone and Mac, syncing goes through your own iCloud account. The data stays within Apple’s iCloud, which only you control; we have no server and no access to it.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details.
Notifications
Notifications are local. If you enable them, an Apple push token may be used solely to tell you when a transcription your Mac is running has finished. It is not linked to your identity or shared.
Microphone, Contacts, Photos
The microphone is used to record, Contacts and Photos only if you add a photo to a voice. These are used locally on your device and never transmitted.
Children
Vocatim is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
